A quaint, typically German, and very peaceful billiard bar with outdoor seating and an extremely friendly barkeeper who has been running the place for ages, as well as very nice guests. In addition to freshly tapped cold beer, long drinks, and Pinot Gris, there are also some pizzas and tarte flambée. Even Grandpa used to drink his after-work beer there. There are several pool tables, a few slot machines, and a new machine. It's best to reserve the pool tables or pass the time with a cold beer while you wait for one.

First of all, we would like to emphasize that this is our second home. Here, the best pizza in town is prepared by the most authentic and warm-hearted Sardinian. You should definitely eat here at least once. Feel free to order “Herzpizza” or “Pizza Kerstin” – they're not on the menu, though.

Here you can enjoy Italian cuisine prepared by Albanians, which we greatly appreciate. Particularly noteworthy are the fresh fish and high-quality meat dishes. The best part, however, are the crisp, fresh vegetable side dishes, which include seasonal delicacies such as asparagus and chanterelle mushrooms.

Arras cooks here. And he cooks well. His menu is our list of favorite dishes. It's no surprise that it ranks number one on Trip Advisor. There is a changing seasonal menu. We went three days in a row because we wanted to try the next dish. We rave about spaghetti in lemon sauce with shrimp, truffle ravioli, fig pizza, melon salad, octopus carpaccio, pizza with blackberries...

The beautiful terrace invites you to linger and is ideal for families, as the adjacent Lanzpark with its playground is within sight and the surrounding street is a play street.

The Rheinterrassen, or as the people of Mannheim say, the restaurant by the river, is very popular because of its unique and beautiful terrace, where you can really dream and, above all, admire the sunset. It's like a mini vacation. The food doesn't quite match the prices. The wine list is good.

This ultra-modern and chic hotel has a trendy bar furnished with leather armchairs, where cocktails and tapas are served. There is also a terrace overlooking the river. We particularly like the lemon tart there. Great for chatting, reading, dreaming, and enjoying yourself.

Down-to-earth, regional, and fresh vegan cuisine of the highest standard. Convenient for families, Glückstein is located right next to Glücksteinpark and the “yellow” playground. As the restaurant is very small, reservations are recommended.
Zeitgeist

Spaghetti ice cream was invented in Mannheim. As a result, there are many ice cream parlors and ice cream producers. Zeitgeist is the best. In fact, pilgrims from other states cross the Rhine just for a scoop from this ice cream parlor. Accordingly, the lines are sometimes long. Our recommendation: red currant with chocolate sauce.

The cuisine is Mediterranean and home-style. Simple but delicious. The great atmosphere under the trees, just a few meters from the Rhine, is something special. It's a great place to stop after a visit to Silberpappel—a very special place on an old arm of the Rhine that is perfect for swimming and SUP boarding. There is a nice playground in the beer garden.

A very good Greek restaurant in a perfect location on Stollenwörthweiher. The food is excellent and the staff are very friendly. The terrace offers a view of the water and a real holiday feeling. Thanks to the conservatory, it's also great in winter. Very child-friendly. However, there is no playground or play area.
